Two things decide whether a phone visitor becomes a phone call: whether the page is built for a small screen, and whether your number is a link they can tap. A number typed as plain text means memorising it and switching apps. Many do not bother.

People do not scroll. They ask Google or they ask ChatGPT, and they pick from what comes back first. Both read the same handful of signals off your site — and the businesses that get chosen are usually not the best ones, just the ones whose sites are easiest to read.
